Team Maplestory's Warrior Guide

The guide on this page was created for an older and outdated version of Maplestory and is now inaccurate to the current gameplay and no longer deemed useful. Please do not edit or delete this article.

This is Team Maplestory’s and also Maplewiki’s(unfortunately unofficial) very own Warrior guide. This guide will contain information like where to put your SP, AP builds, training places, pros and cons, and more.

HOW TO START First you need to create a character in a world. Change your character's looks and styles before entering the game. With the new GMS patch, you do not need to do the dice roll. You also cannot choose whether you go to the beginner training field or not. Click on anyone that has a funny light bulb on their head. They will help you level up and get ready for the real Maple Story world. Train on snails do quests and when you get to level 10 go to Southperry to go on a ship to Lith Harbor. When you get there train until you are level 10, not any further. Go to Dances with Balrog at Perion to learn the Warrior ways. He will offer you some quests to level up but from here, it’s pretty much your own choice what you do. But there are better ways to be a warrior than just randomly put anything into your AP and SP. So that's why there are guides on how to be a warrior.

But here are musts to do a Maple Island.

The training area should be no problem to get to level 3 (or 4) If you need help on what to do ask Robin. Talk to Sam and kill some Snails also.

After that to quests and train on Blue Snails, Shrooms until level 6. Also Rain’s quiz and Pio’s Quest will give you some Exp and Pio will give you a cool chair.

Level 7: Do Mai’s training. It should be a piece of cake. You will also get a Razor(you must give Lucas's Letter first)

Level 8-10: Mai’s Training or train on Stump, Slime, and maybe the occasional Pig. Bari’s quest optional or if available

Level 10: Tally Ho to Victoria Island! (It will cost 150 mesos unless you have Lucas’s Recommendation letter)

When you are a beginner, you will get some skill points or SP. Here is a little guide on how to put the SP

Level 5: +1 Nimble Feet

Level 6: +1 Nimble Feet

Here are some pros and cons about being a warrior.

Pros

>Mob at 1st Job.

>Really, REALLY high HP!

>Has the highest melee damage.

>3rd Job Skills are really cool but are not mentioned in this guide. (Yet!)

>Good defence. (Noobs care about defence)

Cons

>Has barely any MP.

>They’re not ranged until later.

>Damage can be unstable

>Most warriors (except spearman) are not really wanted for Pqs.

As a normal warrior, you will get 5 SP. It is now very easy to know where to put it because of the Auto Assign but you might want to know different ways of building. There are 4 major skills. They are STR DEX INT and LUK. You will not need INT and LUK because they don't affect a warrior. STR will increase your attack. DEX will increase your accuracy and you will have a more stable attack. HP and MP can also be raised by skill points but it is highly not recommended.

ALL OF THESE BULDS CAN VARY DEPENDING ON YOUR LEVEL.

1. Auto Assign Build (recommended)

3 STR 2 DEX

2. The STR Build 1

4 STR 1 DEX (Get extra dex from equips)

3. The STR Build 2(Not recommended)

5 STR 0 DEX (Get extra dex from equips)

4. The HP Build (Not recommended)

2 STR 1 DEX 2 HP

The STR build 1 can potentially be good if you are funded. You will need DEX Scrolls.

Now it’s time for your AP. Your AP is very important. The way of the warrior's AP can differ depending on your 2nd Job Advancement. AP can allow you to use special skills that will help you train. Most of them will use mana to give you some sort of buff or more powerful attack. Here is a list of all the warrior skills.

Training

You need to kill monsters to level up and you know that. But there are faster ways to do it than others, so here is a guide that might help you.

Level: 10-15: You should do warrior quests Stumps,Slime.

LVL 15 - 20 : You should train on Pigs, Orange Mushrooms, Cynical Orange Mushrooms.

LVL 21 - 24 : Axe Stumps, Dark Axe Stumps.

LVL 25 - 30 : KPQ and APQ.

Well now that you are level 30 now what? Choose your 2nd Job Advancement!! Now what to choose? Here are some pointers to push you the right way! They all have pros and cons so I don't recommend any of them and I don’t not recommend any either.

Spearman

Pros >They have got Hyper Body, the totally awesome skill that improves MP and HP. A must for all parties.

>Higher MP than Fighters and Pages.

>Spears and Pole Arms have (generally) more range than any other warrior weapon.

Cons >They can’t equip shields. (That means that you can’t have STR shields)

>Unstable damage.

>Lower HP than Fighters and Pages.

Fighter

Pros >Good at killing individual monsters. (Good for Bosses)

>Weapons that they use are generally fast.

>Fighters have more HP than Pages and Spearmen.

>Fighters have Rage, an important boost for Assassins.

>More Stable than the Spearman.

Cons

>Less MP than all classes.

Page

Pros >Higher MP than Fighters.

>They have an awesome skill called Threaten.

>Higher HP than Spearman.

>Not many people choose the Page, so it makes it a very unique class.

Cons >Lower HP than Fighters.

>Lower MP than Spearmen.

>Damage is generally low.
